If you wish to discuss any aspect of your course content, use the discussion forum on your course page
(recognisable by the icon below).


However, if you wish to have a direct, personal contact with any course participant (i.e., your instructor, classmate, or e-tutor), then you may follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Go to the “participants” page of the course
    (to see all instructors, students, and e-tutors in the course)
    1. Open the affected course,
    2. Open the side navigation panel on the top left of your screen,
    3. Scroll down to the code & title of the affected course (it’ll be in bold-faced font),
    4. Click the “Participants” link directly under the course code & title.



  2. Search for the person(s) you want to contact
    (there are three optional ways to do this [Steps 5, 6, or 7 below])

    1. Manually scroll through the list of participants to find the person's name, then skip to Step 9 below.

      OR

    2. Filter the list by the first letter of the person’s first name and/or surname (as shown in the image below), then skip to Step 9 below
      (note that for instructors and e-tutors, their first name starts with their title e.g., Prof., Dr., Mr., Mrs., Ms., Engr., etc.).


      OR

    3. Filter the list by role (as shown in the image below):
      1. Change “Select” under “Match” to “Roles”,
      2. Choose “Instructor” (or any desired role),
      3. Click “Apply filters” to reduce the list to participants under this role only, then skip to Step 9 below.



  3. Choose your preferred mode of communication
    (either via direct “message” on the LMS or via email)
    1. Click on the person's name from the list of participants,
    2. Within the person's profile page, you may either:
      1. Click “Message” to send them a direct message on the KWASU-Virtual or
      2. Copy their email address for your use.
