HGNS203 - Innovation and Product Development

This course is aimed at giving an overview of what creativity and innovation really mean in the contemporary business environment. All commercial enterprises must have products and services to sell and these are both the result of creativity and innovation. On the other hand, marketing is vital to understanding business of any sort, thus any study of business that excludes an appreciation of marketing is incomplete. This course is thus essentially to give a background and reference document to help stimulate some thinking and discussion about misconception of creativity, innovation, sources of creativity, product development process, approaches to product development.
