CHM102 – General Chemistry II introduces the foundations of organic chemistry within the general chemistry sequence. The course traces the historical development and importance of organic chemistry, defines and classifies organic compounds, and then builds into electronic structure, bonding, nomenclature, and functional group chemistry. It also highlights the significance of organic compounds in living systems, industry, and the wider environment.
